Apple Fritters in the Air Fryer
Air Fried Apple Fritters are light and fluffy, filled with chunks of apples, swirled with cinnamon and glazed in a perfect sugary glaze. These fritters will perfectly satisfy your sweet tooth.
Equipment
- air fryer
Ingredients
- 1 large apple peeled and chopped
- 1 cup self-rising flour
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbs cinnamon
- 2 tsp sugar (optional)
- 1 cup confectioners sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbs milk or more, if needed (for glaze)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix all fritter ingredients together. Knead the mixture in the bowl about 3-4 times.
Mix glaze ingredients together (this mixture should be on the thin side) then set aside.
Line the bottom of the air fryer with a parchment round. Spray the parchment liberally with oil (don't use non-stick spray).
Divide the fritter batter into 4 balls about the size of a handball. Flatten slightly and place in the fryer basket then spray with vegetable oil.
Cook at 370°F or 187°C for about 13-15 minutes, turning half way through the cooking. Make sure to spray with oil again after turning.
Drizzle or dip in the glaze then place fritters on a wire rack to cool and dry the glaze.
