Smoke coming out of your Air fryer?
Some people have experience that when they air fry at a temperature of above 180 ° C, their Air fryer releases some smoke. You can easily solve that. If a temperature of 200 ° C is indicated, you can usually opt for a temperature of 180 ° C for which you add some extra preparation time.
Pre-heating your Air fryer
The pre-heating of an Air fryer takes about two minutes. The Philips Viva Airfryer timer button lets you pre-heat by turning the timer knob to five minutes and wait for the warm-up light goes out. Then fill the basket and turn the timer knob to the required cooking time.
With the Philips Airfryer XL and the digital Viva Airfryer you can begin preheating through setting the temperature and press the start button. If the device is heated up to the set temperature, you hear a beep. You can adjust the cooking time after that.
In general, cooking times in the air fryer are reduced by 20% in comparison to traditional ovens. Clearly this varies per brand and the quantity of the food cooked in the air fryer.
