Hash Browns in the Air Fryer
In the United States, hash browns are riced or shredded pan-fried potatoes and are commonly prepared and served for breakfast. There are however some countries that also serve has browns as side dish. Hash browns are well know for being crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. This texture can be easily achieved when you cook hash browns in the air fryer.
Equipment
- Airfryer
Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes, shredded
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Rinse shredded or riced potatoes, drain and squeeze until it's dry
- Put the shredded potatoes in a bowl.
- Mix all other ingredients.
- Mold the mixture into either round or square pieces
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 200° C 390° F for 10 minutes
- Place the hash browns into the Air Fryer basket and cook for about 10 to 11 minutes
Notes
- Best to refrigerate the mixture for 24 hours. This helps with the crispiness of the has browns
- Serve with your preferred condiments - mayonnaise or ketchup.
