Fried Pickles in the Air Fryer
Fried Pickles in the Air Fryer
Air Fryer Pickles are super crispy and make a great game day or party snack! Fried Pickles made in the Air Fryer are healthier because they are made with a lot less oil and have a crunchy panko breadcrumbs coating that makes them taste even better than the deep fried original.
Equipment
- air fryer
Ingredients
- 3-4 large dill pickles, cut into spears
- 1 egg, whisked with 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, stir together breadcrumbs, parmesan, oregano, and garlic powder. Pat pickle chips dry Using paper towels,
Dredge pickle chips first in egg then in the breadcrumb mixture. Put a single layer in air fryer basket and cook at 400°F or 204°C for 10 minutes.
Notes
Instead of pickle spears, you can also use pickle slices If you don’t have buttermilk, you can easily make your own by adding 1 Tbsp of vinegar or lemon/lime juice to a ½ cup of milk. Serve immediately with ranch for dipping.
